Who is eligible for ECHS membership?

The scheme entitles all ESM drawing pension from Controller of Defence Accounts, including those in receipt of Disability/ Family Pension and their dependents to be eligible for membership. 

Membership has been made compulsory for all pensioners with effect from 1st April 2003 and is optional for earlier retirees.

Over the years, the ECHS membership has been extended to pensioners of Territorial Army (TA), Defence Security Corps (DSC), Uniformed Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Military Nursing Service (MNS), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Nepal Domiciled Gorkha (NDG),Whole time NCC Officers, Girl Cadet Instructors (GCIs), Eligible APS pensioners, Assam Rifles pensioners, WW II Veterans, Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs), Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs) and Pre-Mature Retirees (PMR).

Note. For Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs), and Pre Mature Retirees, ECHS facility would be extended only to the ESM and their spouses. No other dependent will be eligible.

ईसीएचएस सदस्यता के लिए कौन पात्र है?

यह योजना रक्षा लेखा नियंत्रक से पेंशन प्राप्त करने वाले सभी ईएसएम को सदस्यता के लिए पात्र होने का अधिकार देती है, जिसमें विकलांगता/पारिवारिक पेंशन प्राप्त करने वाले और उनके आश्रित भी शामिल हैं।

1 अप्रैल 2003 से सभी पेंशनभोगियों के लिए सदस्यता अनिवार्य कर दी गई है और पहले सेवानिवृत्त लोगों के लिए यह वैकल्पिक है।

पिछले कुछ वर्षों में, ईसीएचएस सदस्यता प्रादेशिक सेना (टीए), रक्षा सुरक्षा कोर (डीएससी), वर्दीधारी भारतीय तट रक्षक (आईसीजी), सैन्य नर्सिंग सेवा (एमएनएस), विशेष सीमांत बल (एसएफएफ), नेपाल अधिवासी के पेंशनभोगियों तक बढ़ा दी गई है। 

गोरखा (एनडीजी), पूर्णकालिक एनसीसी अधिकारी, गर्ल कैडेट प्रशिक्षक (जीसीआई), योग्य एपीएस पेंशनभोगी, असम राइफल्स पेंशनभोगी, द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दिग्गज, शॉर्ट सर्विस कमीशन अधिकारी (एसएससीओ), आपातकालीन कमीशन अधिकारी (ईसीओ) और प्री-मेच्योर सेवानिवृत्त (पीएमआर) ).

टिप्पणी। शॉर्ट सर्विस कमीशन अधिकारियों (एसएससीओ) और समय से पहले सेवानिवृत्त लोगों के लिए, ईसीएचएस सुविधा केवल ईएसएम और उनके जीवनसाथी तक ही विस्तारित की जाएगी। कोई अन्य आश्रित पात्र नहीं होगा।
