For the purpose of making ECHS cards, who are ‘dependents’, and what is definition of the word “family”?

The definition for eligibility to be dependent as per DoPT followed by CGHS is as under :-

(a) Dependent Parents. Whose combined income from all sources is notmore than Rs 9000/- per month (excluding DA).

(b) Son. Till he starts earning or gets married or attains the age of 25 years, whichever is earlier.

(c) Daughter. Till she starts earning or gets married, irrespective of the age limit, whichever is earlier.

(d) Disabled Children. Unmarried son/daughter suffering from any permanent disability of any kind (physical or mental) covered under PWD Act 2016 - irrespective of age limit.

(e) Minor brother(s) and sister(s). Brothers upto the age of becoming a major and sisters till they start earning or gets married, irrespective of the age limit, whichever is earlier.

ईसीएचएस कार्ड बनाने के लिए 'आश्रित' कौन हैं और "परिवार" शब्द की परिभाषा क्या है?

डीओपीटी और सीजीएचएस के अनुसार आश्रित होने की पात्रता की परिभाषा इस प्रकार है:-

(ए) आश्रित माता-पिता। जिनकी सभी स्रोतों से संयुक्त आय 9000/- रुपये प्रति माह (डीए को छोड़कर) से अधिक न हो।

(बी) बेटा. जब तक वह कमाना शुरू नहीं कर देता या शादी नहीं कर लेता या 25 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त नहीं कर लेता, जो भी पहले हो।

(सी) बेटी. जब तक वह कमाना शुरू न कर दे या शादी न कर ले, उम्र सीमा पर ध्यान दिए बिना, जो भी पहले हो।

(डी) विकलांग बच्चे। किसी भी प्रकार की स्थायी विकलांगता (शारीरिक या मानसिक) से पीड़ित अविवाहित बेटा/बेटी पीडब्ल्यूडी अधिनियम 2016 के तहत आते हैं - आयु सीमा के बावजूद।

(ई) नाबालिग भाई और बहन। भाइयों को बालिग होने की उम्र तक और बहनों को कमाई शुरू करने या शादी होने तक, उम्र सीमा के बावजूद, जो भी पहले हो, दी जाती है।
